Swan_Vesta Posted July 30, 2011 Share Posted July 30, 2011 HM Prison service is under attack from the threat of privatisation, The National Probation Service is under attack from the threat of privatisation and UK Border Agency is also under attack from the threat of privatisation. Neither agency or organisation is poorly run but are attractive for selling off to the highest bidder. Contrast this to HMRC whose chairman admits that he's "We are not happy with our performance in 2010." Now bear in mind that I can't imagine that the government would be happy to sell off their tax raising arm of their 'business' but are happy to auction off perfectly functioning and able bodies of government for profit. Three prisons are up for sale in our area, three areas of Probation are for sale in our area and UK BA are going for a song .....
