kel-lou
Can anyone advise me on temp car insurance, if it even exists and how to go about getting covered? I am intending to use my father in laws car for 2 weeks but due to a total loss of my own car recently and claiming from my insurance company i am no longer insured to drive any car. Ive tried google but I dont really know where to start Can anyone recommend a specific insurance company that can help with what I need?
mike84
Norwich Union used to do day insurance, not sure if they still do though...
Dalek Boy
Try http://www.dayinsure.com I've used them a few times. Its all done on-line, and pretty instant. Only ever done 24/48 hours at a time, so not sure if 2 weeks would be economical. I suppose it depends how much you value getting about?
Saxon
Surely the easiest option is to ask his insurance company to add you to his policy?
BananaSplit
Surely the easiest option is to ask his insurance company to add you to his policy? This is what I was going to suggest. My Dad added me to his insurance for a weekend away we were all having.
Bonjon
When I was 3rd party I just used to either ask my ins company or the company of who ever's car I wanted to borrow and they would cover me for a cost (bout £20 a day iirc, a while ago now though).
