Bonzo77
Has anyone ever had this problem? My 12 month old son is quite happy to come to me but over the last 2 or 3 weeks he is turning away from his mother like he doesn't want to be picked up by her. He has been funny with other prople picking him up, grandparents & great grand parents who don't see him often, which we could understand. He sees his mum more than he sees me, just don't understand it and it's starting to upset my wife!
alex3659
They do get clingy to one person, my daughter got upset when my grandson was that age because he would only go to his Nan Nan who looked after him while his mother was at work.
andyofborg
Most children will pick one parent for hugs and cuddles and another for play and stuff like that. No one should get upset, it's just how humans work. It's worth pointing out that siblings do not necessarily choose the same parent for the same function, so you could be on a promise tonight.....
