Shogun
I lost interest in beer when they shut the wards brewery down,no beer seems to taste as good any more,Stones and Whitbreds were good pints as well but they are brewed somewhere down south now,I tried a pint of Banks beer on my travels a few weeks ago and that's a bit like what Wards tasted like, the whole brewing and pub industry is in turmoil at the moment it seems that the little brewers are making a bit of a come back, try the Station pub Chapletown they have some nice beers there. Rich
Go in the Robin Hood for a good Pint of Farmer's Blonde, the Robin Hood in S6 I mean, not the one at Millhouses.

glennC
Try the Brown Bear near the Crucible, Sam Smiths Yorkshire bitter, a cracking pint and only £1.55p great value!
mike-s
There is a snobbery issue in my area where Sam Smiths is concerned, and for no valid reason. It is £1.47 a pint and although it may not be the best available it certainly wipes the floor with a lot of them.
Craigyboy2
Sam Smiths is fine. Last beer to still be matured in wooden casks. Lots of fine beer still out there and some of it is served in pubs that are stuggling too. The main problem is the pubco's charging tenants silly prices for beer, supermarkets selling it at below cost and, most important, too many people buying it in said supermarkets and not using their locals
