ronthenekred
Sadly the good old British seaside resort generally is in need of a lick of paint (to say the least), even your average B & B is like a throwback to the 60s, they need to keep up with the times a little better, generally cleaner and more modern decor would not go amiss. Agreed I went to Blackpool once. Never again. Even the old 4 panel doors to the rooms had wallpaper in those panels as a complimentary feature. For the same price if not cheaper I could have gone abroad and stayed in a nice contemporary apartment with super views.
Grandad.Malky
Because when package holidays took off other resorts had to change but Blackpool just accommodate stag and hen parties and now they can go on bargain breaks abroad even that trade as gone. crookesey
I hate to show my age, but I remember signs in the boarding house windows saying 'No Blacks, No Irish'. Having Irish great grandparents and a liking for music made by black people, I thought that Blackpool might not be for me.

When we used to go for the weekend I heard loads of daft excuses ………… I bet they drag them in off the streets now.
