medusa Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 The finishing price for an item may be ridiculously low, but if you've already spent £50 in bids for each of 4 items before you actually have anything to show for it then it's not such a bargain, is it? I know that there's a potential to get a car for a pittance or whatever, but the odds of that happening are extremely low and the only reason that they can afford to allow one person to get it for £3000 (hypothetically) is that the other £15000 is made up of fees paid for bids by other people who don't end up getting the car, just a bill.
