Thankyou. There are a number of books produced by an amateur photographer but cant remember his name - someone on here will give it soon.I have one called "A Walkley Camera" and another called"Sheffield Industry Camera" both great books.I think there is "A Hillsborough Camera".I remember seeing photos of Regent Park flats in the 50s and Niagara Ground in1900s etc.......... medusa
The Langsett Road area is featured in the Walkley history book I saw a couple of weeks ago. It was in the waiting room of somewhere and I can't remember the full title unfortunately, but there is definitely one about. Langsett Road is considered to be Walkley all the way out to Hillsborough Barracks by many people BTW, just in case that means you're looking for a different book
harvey19
Try the local studies library situated in the Central library. Alternatively try Sheffield Pictures website.
Rivelin6
Got a book called The Complete Hillsborough By Her People published by Hillsborough Community Development Trust dated 2006 but as medusa said Langsett is classed as lower Walkley.
welshgirl
Have you tried the Hillsborough Forum's shop? I know they sell a few books on local history, might be worth a shot: http://www.facebook.com/Hillsboroughforum?sk=wall
Mrscliff
Kate55, the 'Camera' range of books, are very good, and the Hillsborough one does include the area you are interested in. Have a look in the shop in Weston Park Museum, last time I was in they had a range of several areas, and they are relatively inexpensive.
Paul Cocker
You could try http://www.picturesheffield.com/frontend.php there are quite a few Langsett Road ones on there. You can order prints from them too.
