Harleyman
Kicking the crap out of your community isn't going to help with that is it? I'm usually for the youth but this is just getting silly and does appear to be a case of using the death of a man as a reason to riot and loot. And where the hell are these kids' parents? Down at the boozer or busily dodging child support payments
Scozzie
Thanks guys - my geographys awful - I thought it was just bad reporting It's getting a bit close to home for my liking, I hope the police decide to take action sooner rather than later. I nearly peed my pants when they said Chapeltown too.
sheffandy
wonder if you'd say that if you'd just lost your home and nearly died in the process like the poor lady on BBC News 24.
andygardener
Unfortunately these people are not rioting because of the reasons you've said. It stems from a knee jerk reaction, goaded and aided by young idiots thinking they're 'fighters'..inviting and inciting each other on FB, Twitter and BBM..it's NOT an uprising protesting about living conditions, jobs etc..it's a bunch of idiots, jumping on a bandwagon..there's no real political protest and anybody thinking it is, is very disilllusioned! I agree, and looking at some of the reports of violence against the police tonight in hackney the police are being treated as legit targets, sounds like one officer nearly ended up like Keith Blakelock about 10 minutes ago but colleagues managed to drag him out after he was tripped and beaten by the mob. The police need to be allowed to deploy at least none lethal firearms and CS/watercannon, as it stands they are outnumbered and basically losing. Quinnwok
These people feel excluded form their own communities. These people destroy communities, property, lives. They are a cancer on humanity very long jail terms wont help them, but it will help us.

Quinnwok
First it was Tunisia. Then it was Bahrain, Algeria, Jordan, Yemen, Albania, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, Libya. Now the UK. Rioting obviously brings about the changes we demand, so it is a good thing right? *tongue firmly in cheek* It will be called the drug gang bangers spring next:roll:
