Violent riots and looting in UK

Brit Pat appears to suggest that this is because blacks are inherently more susceptible to mental illness. He's talking ****e.

Ok the floor is yours, Blacks are over represented in the mental health system because ...............................

Oh for god's sake. Why do I always forget that what what passes for debate on this forum is actually just the opposite?

I'm ''whining'' about the government, not the police. Are you suggesting that David Cameron will be defending the front line tomorrow?

It's entirely reasonable to suggest that the government response to this has been inadequate. Cameron sat in his villa in Italy for the best part of three days before he decided to come home. Stinks.

What will he do?

Some high ranking intelligence and planning officers will give him a few folders of papers, which 'someone' will read and summarise verbally for him, he'll then probably ask his trusted advisor's what they think, then he'll ask the same of his press officers, then he'll say yay or nay. Could do that over the phone on the probable video link he has...

Why?

Seriously - if he suddenly flies home at the drop of a hat then it makes it look serious and it suddenly becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. If the tail of the dog thinks it can wag the head then guess what - it'll try and do just that and the problem is worse.

Of course if they don't you get people bleating that they are not telling them what's being done and distracting them from the business of actually sorting it out.

Ok, I see that argument. But since, in his absence, things have just got worse since Saturday night, it couldn't possibly have done any harm for him to come back sooner - and it might have reassured the substantial portion of the electorate that thinks he doesn't give a crap about poor people/Labour voters.

Now those people just have more ammunition for their belief that Cameron and the rest of his government aren't concerned with social inequality. An own goal on his part.

Yes, undoubtedly he could.

He could also have provided a statement at any point over the last three days, just to show he wasn't face deep in a plate of risotto and a litre of Chianti.

But no. Why not? What possible reason could a Prime Minister have for not making a statement about massive civil unrest in his capital city?

All he did was use shims statement and restate it in a different order, but it basically has the same meaning.

No. BritPat implied that the reason there are a disproportionate number of black people in the mental health system is because they are mentally challenged.

Can you not read? :|
