Chinese theme park being built in Rother Valley country park

Recommended Posts

There's vast amounts of space between Sheffield and Rotherham, take a drive down the Parkway and you'll see it, none of which is home to rare water birds nor existing recreation.

This sentence covers just about everything i wanted to say, I was going to suggest the land next to the Advanced Manufacturing Park, at the top of the old Orgreave coke ovens site, nobody seems to care about the effects this will have on the rare wildlife or the existing country park.

bladesman

be constructive, tell us why we [you] dont want a theme park

instead of saying there are better places tell us where.all you do is moan no alternatives

That sentence makes no sense, and that thing you keep doing with the full stops mid sentence is quite annoying.

A theme park in sheffield might be nice but i don't see how we need one, we seem to have got along just fine without one up to now.

I thought that was earmarked for Waverley?

But I'm sure it could be incorporated into the project, as it promises:

A place to enjoy

The landscape of the new community will incorporate everything from woodland and parkland to contemporary urban squares and boulevards, as well as a Continental-style waterfront promenade, shopping areas, restaurants and even a lakeside beach - right in the heart of Yorkshire.

Thank you for that - I was thinking that it was a strange time to start the project and that there would have been more publicity around the site if it was but couldn't think what else it would be.

Thanks for clearing that up for me
