Taekwondo
The guy was dead when they cut of his head it could have been worse, they could have taped it and put it on the internet
ArchViz
The guy was dead when they cut of his head it could have been worse, they could have taped it and put it on the internet My thoughts exactly, the guy wants a medal not a court martial. The man minus a noggin was a Taliban fighter, not an unarmed journalist or an elderly oil worker beheaded on tape.
Rich Siddall
Poor Taliban warlord, I'm sure if the Taliban ask nicely they can have it back for burial. Why is the article calling it a ceremonial knife, its not, its part of the Gurkha's field equipment, an item made for killing. Hopefully it will put the fear of God into the Taliban, If you see a little soldier with a kukri, run away. I have zero sympathy for anyone who as ArchViz says murders innocent non-combatants in the same manner.

chuffinel
The newspaper article is from July 2010. Does anyone know the outcome, regarding the soldier, of this ?
ANGELFIRE1
Fair play to the Gurkha's, give the enemy a taste of their own medicine, at least the bloke was deceased, unlike what the enemy do to ours while still alive. Aye, our little Gurkha friend deserves a bloody medal, not punishment. Regards Angel.
