Hacker group Anonymous has denied that it is behind a planned attack on Facebook later this year. A movement called Operation Facebook, or #OpFacebook, has set up accounts on Twitter and YouTube, and reportedly plans to launch an online attack on the social networking site on November 5. A video posted on YouTube, claiming to be from Anonymous, promises to "kill Facebook", adding: "Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. "Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your privacy settings, and deleting your account is impossible. Even if you delete your account, all your information stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time." Operation Facebook has said that it is targeting Facebook as it is the "opposite of the AntiSec cause", a joint group of Anonymous and LulzSec members. The group added: "[Facebook] knows more about you than your family. It has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world."
