I have one male friend in particular, who would be great just as a friend, but he wouldn't stop texting me suggesting he wanted something more, so I ignored him in the end, so that friendship is now ruined. This is the type of man for whom women will use as a shoulder to cry on when they may have had a bad time with there partner, or been treat badly. This is the type of man who you can discuss your problems with, you can tell this man anything and you know full well anything you say will stay with him. This is the type of man for whom you can go to for advice on anything, you can socialise with him safe in the knowledge that he will never try it on with you. This is the type of man who you can introduce you your mother - and she will love him, the type of man who you can introduce to your female friends and they too will treat him like one of the girls. He drinks cocktails, never swears, never gets into any sort of trouble and is the ultimate metrosexual This is the type of man who is always single. So what do you think of this type of man, is he good or in a way do you feel sorry for him? He's the type (if he's true to your word) who is often in settled relationships. The chap you're talking about just hasn't met the right person. He's not so unusual, y'know, plenty of people are on their own because they haven't met someone they want to be with at the moment. No-one ever talks about a woman in the same way, do they? - yet there are plenty of nice women who aren't in a relationship. No-one says that they're 'too nice' or that they're 'the type of woman who is always single'. I once knew a man who reckoned he was 'too nice'. No, he was too boring for me (who he was telling about it), but plenty of women would have liked him cos he was a thoroughly nice guy (albeit not my type, for loads of reasons). However, he never went out, wouldn't have dreamed of talking to a strange woman (he was a single dad, plenty of single mums at the school gate) so uh, never stood a chance of meeting anyone! Of course, your friend might be secretly gay. Alternatively, he might be too boring for anyone to find interesting, though that's unlikely given the boring men some women end up with. I suspect he lacks the confidence or the desire to make a move on any of the women who he comes across. Moral - don't put him on some kind of 'too nice' pedestal - make him get out and meet women!
