boyfriday
Dr David starkey is 100% correct, 100%. Until this issue is confronted nothing will improve. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14513517 Could you explain why you believe he's "100% correct" I was not offended by his well thought out comments. Well you wouldnt be it's exactly what you want to hear.

Streamline
The indigenous Britons are good at making stone tools and spearing woolly mamals, but they tend to be a bit below average when it comes to critical thinking! So clearly they need funding and resources from the taxpayer and positive discrimination initiatives to make sure they have the same opportunity in life. We are all equal are we not? andygardener
Because what he said is the truth. What he said was that whites have become blacks, now what we all know he probably meant is that many white chavs have embraced black gangsta american culture, but it isn't what he actually said. I suspect he has done it deliberately to get publicity, he's not a stupid person so he will have realised that making huge sweeping generalisations based on ethnicity is kind of the definition of racism but obviously decided he'd benefit more from the controversy than if he had just said lots of white scrotes are trying to emulate black gangsta "culture". The sound bite will create debate, but he said alot more than the sound bite you quote. However to much money is made on these appeser schemes and to many have bought votes with 'its not your fault your a gangsta its ours rubbish'

However to much money is made on these appeser schemes and to many have bought votes with 'its not your fault your a gangsta its ours rubbish' To be fair it is our fault. We as a country have elected governments that have promoted the fear of being seen as racist by arresting ethnic minorities over the desire to impose the law in our cities. When young black men are born into an evironment where when they reach their early teens or younger they either become a victim or join a gang then what chance do they have? Hopefully we now have a focus on the issue and there will be a cut off, deal with the existing gangsta sorts and put resource in place to help ensure that young people don't end up filling the vacuum. To put the issue in context their was an interview with a lady who had woked with gangmembers for a long time which touched on some of the people she had dealt with. Their main take on the riots - amazed that they could move from one postcode to another without getting shot - that's how messed up we've let this whole situation get.
