Groom eaten by shark!!

Recommended Posts

I heard on the news they are hunting for the shark to kill it. How stupid, killing an animal for following it's natural instincts in it's natural environment. If they can kill one for eating someone, they will need to kill them all. Different when its someone's pet dog that eats a person, the dog should be controlled and tame, but its a bloody shark FGS.

It's not natural. There have been very few attacks in the Seychelles. Would you prefer that miles of beaches are closed and livelihoods threatened because of one shark?

A couple honeymooning in Seychelles he went snorkelling in the sea and was attacked and killed by a shark this shark is believed to have also killed a french diver earlier this month

Beach restaurant boss Jeanne Vargiolu, 56, said Ian had lost one arm and had the flesh stripped off one leg.

He also had holes in his chest and stomach. She added: "All the meat on one leg was gone."

No wonder the rescuers kept his wife away from seeing her husband- I don't think I could even stomach that kind of injury.

Poor guy. Wrong place at the wrong time.

Of course its natural, the sharks thinks that a human shape is that of its favourite pray, seals. The reason most humans survive (especially if wearing a diving suit) an attack is because the sharks tastes the human blood and then realises it isnt a seal and then swims off.

That may be the case in many circumstances, but not this one. Bull sharks are aggressive, territorial, unpredictable and don't eat seals. They are probably responsible for more deaths than all other types of shark, no one is really sure how many people they kill though. They tolerate fresh water and swim up many rivers in Africa (and all over the world), documented cases of missing people after being in the rivers are numerous, but there are other creatures that could be responsible too. Their bite is also similar looking to that of a great white.

Sharks don't swim off because they taste your blood. They are generally waiting for you to die so you can't do them any damage. That allows many people to escape. There is a theory that they can tell we don't contain blubber and aren't worth eating, and that is why a great white shark doesn't use the full power of its bite in an exploratory 'feel' with its teeth. However, as I've said, that has nothing to do with this attack.

Not gonna argue with that.
