BarnsleyOMRL
http://www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk/news/article/4354/council-withdraws-support-for-ethnic-minority-group Barnsley Council has withdrawn its support to the Barnsley Black and Ethnic Minority Initiative (BBEMI). In a statement, the council says 'serious concerns' relating to the governance and proper financial administration of the organisation have been raised, and passed to the police. A police investigation now underway. A council spokesman said: "In the light of the police investigation the council will not be commenting further until that investigation is complete." The OMRLP supports this move, however in the interests of fairness we suggest that the council withdraws all of its support for everything. This would simplify the budget for when we gain control of the council, it would also make us the richest council in the whole of the UK. Vote loony, you know it makes sense! Jason Bourne
Will you also withdraw financial support for the fire service? Barnsley is notorious as the chip-pan-fire capital of the UK. Cut the fire service, and before too long all your residents will have died in house fires and you'll have no means of generating income Then you'll be the poorest council in the whole of the UK. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=barnsley+chip+pan+fire

HeadingNorth
Does anyone ever even vote for the OMRLP? Even as a joke vote? They frequently pick up a few hundred. I don't know if they've ever recovered their deposit. When Screaming Lord Sutch was still with us, he used to bet on himself to win some number of votes, such that the bet would cover his deposit if he won it. Hills always pitched the number at something less than they (the MRLP) thought they would get. In those days, bookies could not advertise, so footage of Lord Sutch entering a William Hill shop to place the bet or draw his winnings was the best TV coverage they ever got.
