wendybr
hi my husband though he had a prolapsed disc which he was waiting to see the consultant about. due to awful pain and trouble flexing his leg we went back to a and e yet again. this time they reacted very differently (previously sent home with pain killers and told to come back if gets worse) this time he was rushed to hospital for emergency disc removal and what is now being called cauda equine. he is back on the ward now so hopefully the worst is over. does anyone know how soon the feeling in his legs and little boy bits will come back after surgery, he had only been back on ward an hour but legs were not moving any better than befor. does it take a few days? thanks

Twiglet
Glad to hear he's had some treatment; but you really do need to be directing these questions at his medical team. Neurological conditions are highly variable depending on individual circumstances and the medical staff are the only people in possession of enough information about your husband's case to be able to comment. Hope he's feeling better soon
