Conrod
This forum is anything but left-wing as everyone knows. Now just shut up and get on with it.Erm - no. When it was providing the manpower to support the heavy steel and coal industries, Sheffield was a city with a strong Labour left wing bias. Now that those heavy industries are gone, it remains that way, but with the added element of embitteredness among the voters. People who dare to speak up against the left wing collective stand out on SF, but they are still a minority in a most assuredly a left-biased forum. And, against the background of embittered miners and steel workers, my vote goes to Thatcher. What a woman!
choogling
Mrs. Thatcher without any doubt more balls than any of the others.

Conrod
Which just proves your a right wing wind up merchant. Why is that? Because I appreciate how hard she pushed the other European leaders to make sure we weren't fleeced by the EU at the time? Because she had the courage to deal with the social and political mess caused by dying industries that others would have avoided? Or that she was willing to wave a Union Flag and defend British overseas interests? Or maybe just that she was a strong leader at a time of significant social change and kept the economy strong through some very difficult times worldwide? If you'd have been brought up on the other side of the tracks your thoughts may differ, her biographer is seeing the light at last. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/8655106/Im-starting-to-think-that-the-Left-might-actually-be-right.html
