Odd-jobs
No one I know can even rember this pub never mind recall its name, even though it was in a prominant location, can anyone help?. It was single story on the Granville Road /Queens Road roundabout Not the pub that was opposite the Royal Standard {Truro} but this one was situated near where the garage is on the Leadmill side. Handy for drinking before Bowling Alley /Heartbeat. Thanks
hillsbro
The Norfolk Arms was nearby on Suffolk Road, though it was two-storey - here's a link to a photo on the picturesheffield.com site: http://www.picturesheffield.com/frontend.php?action=zoomWindow&keywords=s21520&prevUrl=ZnJvbnRlbmQucGhwPyZrZXl3b3Jkcz1hbGwlM0JNQVRDSEVTJTNCJTI4JTVFJTdDKyUyQiUyOU5vcmZvbGtfQXJtc19QX0glMjglMjQlN0MrJTJCJTI5JmFjdGlvbj1zZWFyY2gmcGFnZT0z
earlybird8
Hi Odd Jobs, I seem to remember that the pub in question was called 'The Montgomery'. It was right on the corner of St. Marys Road and Suffolk Road, right next to a car sales plot, which I think was called 'SS Motors'.
