Is £10 an hour reasonable payment for gardening work?

Recommended Posts

I tell you what I will do, I will explain this post - #52 "I bet you are a bin man"

-Just to give you a reason for being touchy.

Still not making sense. Who were you referring to as an idiot in post 47?

(My own experience tells me that if I ever have cause to call someone an idiot it's wise to make it clear who I'm referring to. Hope this helps.)

Hi

there are three types of so-called gardners where we live.

1 = Those who pick up a second hand grass cutter and strimmer.

2= Those like nuber one but deluded enough to beleive they are real gardenrs

3 = Those with a van, a few tools and a few youtube vids behind themm

You may find the real expert usualy aged 55 and over but pay them no more than 15 quid but beet a flat rate.

we have our grass cut by a nuber 2 type, pay him 10 quid for the bit of grass to the back, sweep up the path and drives and steps, takes him about 1 hr and 30 mins but we beleive he could do it in an hour
