LDeville Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 Retirement without money stinks. when you retire, you actually need more money as you are home more so gas and electric prices shoot up, most people eat more - go out more and want to spend more money, the weekend is not really a weekend any more - the Bank hol is just another day and in the long, hard winters, gets depressing, then you avoid doing your main supermarket shopping on Fridys or sats when most hard workers do their shopping, you down size your car if you are luck, or sell up if you are not. Look for a job with as many hours as you feel like doing. Or do some volunteering. No need to sit around at home all the time if you find it boring.
