LeMaquis
I stayed in Robin Hood Bay 4 years ago during the wet summer. The weather puts me off going back but it was okay. It's a big field behind a farm, about 10 minutes from the sea. If I remember right it was £5 a night. I went camping round France the year before and I'd definitely recommend Nice and Biarritz over North Yorkshire. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3599 I've dried out now. gbrow5
We stopped at Centenary Way in Filey last week so half way between Brid and Scarborough. It was only £15 per night (5 person tent, with two adults and one child). The site is 10 min easy walk from Filey beach and another 5 min into town. It was a nice, clean quiet site. We want to go back for longer next year. No website, but more info if you google 'Centenary Way Filey'
alchresearch
I found this one really nice: http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=6200 I'd originally gone to Middlewood Farm, a very popular well known site but quit after two nights because the owners had shoehorned too many people onto the site. There was no gap between tents and the facilities couldn't cope - huge queues for showers and toilets and washing.
