Rand Hobart
Last year I was in a town centre and there was an ambulance parked up with it's rear doors open and a table with literature laid out behind it. I thought it was a mobile health clinic (test your blood pressure sir?) When I got up to it I was gobsmacked to find printed on the side of the ambulance "Claim Clinic" and two people in logo'd sweat shirts asking passers by if they had been injured in an accident in the last six months. Cold calling is legal and we used to get quite a few, but ever since I put a sign on my front door with the words "shift worker sleeping on sofa, do not disturb" we haven't had one. It's the telephone sales that hack me off. You can even register with the telephone preferences agency, but they still keep coming.
