Whats the point of buying a caravan

Recommended Posts

Here's what happens when you buy a static caravan.

Usually purchased through the site (they take a commission)

The agents deliver to the site (site takes a commission)

The site owners or the agents deliver to the pitch (site impose a delivery charge from gate to pitch)

The site then impose a connection charge.

In most cases the "home" can only remain on site for 15 years, it is then considered too old and you will be requested to "upgrade" it or leave the site. (on some sites it can be 10 or 12 years)

If you upgrade, you have to pay for the home to be disconnected and removed from site.

Your new upgraded van with then be bought from the site again and the whole sorry tale starts again. Been there and got the tee shirt!!

Or you can just buy one from the site you wish to put your van on and it wont cost you anything, other than the price of the van.
