Police shootings - Jean-Claude de Menezes

Recommended Posts

It was a lot more than that ……… they aren’t going to shoot someone on a hunch ……… the property was staked, he fitted the description, backpack, tube, ran when challenged ………. All the pieces where there to leave the officer on the spot with no alternative.

He didn't run when challenged. He wasn't challenged. This was proven at the the inquest, when are people going to stop repeating this lie?

yes, I started on the alibi link but thought I would comment on this too as I believe it is relevant.

If you have a split second to make a decision, your instincs and any drilled in training will be what your working from.

If the guy who was shot gave any indication that he was not just a regular guy then when it come to the crunch, the instincs of the officer will be he COULD be trouble and could leads to doubt and doubt leads to second guessing, second guessing in this case could have led to a hundred or so losing thier life.

So many people you see walking about try to make themselves look hard/mysterious/or just like trouble that it must be hard enough to differenciate between the bad guys and the wannabe bad boys.

It wasn't a split second decision - they'd followed him and allowed him to go down into the tube and get on a train before even attempting to correctly identify him or challenge him in any way.

Well as the police suspected him as a suicide bomber, It would of been stupid anyway to start shouting halt armed police??? he would of just blew him self up killing him self and many more people.

The police always seem to be in the wrong no matter what they do!

this seems to be the case everywhere, I am not a pro police,

but to blame them for, the Riots, Baby P, and everything else, I think people watch and believe Superman is actually real, they are only human.

Dont forget also that the decisions they make stay with them even if they are backed by the rest of the force. they will still play the What If game too when they are in bed at night.

Just his unlucky day huh? Could happen to anyone on the way to work, mustn't grumble.

What utter rubbish. They knew where he lived but let him leave his flat and get on a bus. Having let him get on the bus they then let him get off the bus at Brixton and then get back on it because Brixton station was shut. They then let him get off the bus again, enter the tube station at Stockwell, go through the barriers, go down the escalator and sit on the tube. They could have intercepted him at any point but waited till he was in the position when he could have done most damage if he'd been a terrorist. But he wasn't.

He didn't run when challenged because he was never challenged. There was no police-Menezes contact till he got on the tube. The coppers lied because that's what coppers so when their liberty and careers are on the line. They lied after Hillsborough. And they lied after the Menezes shooting. They even lied at the inquest. Their testimonies were contradicted by witnesses. That's because that's what coppers do. They've fitted up loads of innocent people down the years. And shot some others.

As for "they aren’t going to shoot someone on a hunch" that's exactly what it was. After all he was going to work, wasn't Muslim and wasn't a terrorist so it had to be a hunch, a hunch that turned out to be wrong.

Let's take the lies apart again shall we...

the police said he aborted a run and doubled back onto the bus - the first tube station was closed so he caught the bus to the second one.

The police said he was wearing a bulky jacket - except that he wasn't actually and witnesses and the post crime scene and CCTV showed that...

The police said he was running.. - despite the fact that CCTV showed he walked.

And then the police say he jumped the barrier - except he didn't as witnesses and CCTV showed.

After that he ran down the escalator said the police - but those pesky CCTV and witnesses say otherwise.

Finally, after entering the train sedately he sat down and then was held down and shot in the head seven times. He wasn't challenged, although the police say he was and despite holding him down they manage to miss his head with four shots. From point blank range, a third of the shots missed.

Afterwards the police said that they didn't lie. I say that was just the final end lie of the whole sorry charade.

De Menezes was executed by the Met. for the "crime" of being Brazilian.

Well that is my opinion they had a split second decision to make, But open this thread to see everyones views as on the previuos thread there seems to be a lot of peaple thinking the police just go about shooting innocent people for no reason :loopy:

A split second decision, after following him for about 20 minutes, starting outside the station in an uncrowded area!
