Alcoblog
I second the hairspray! Used it to get dried in bright pink nail varnish out if cream bedding! I hope you're a female!
MonkeyLover
Try hair spray it removes loads of stuff I was going to say that! A couple of years ago, someone wrote a smiley face in permanent marker on the bonnet of my car. I asked on the forum if anyone knew how to remove it. Some very kind person told me to try hairspray, and it worked a treat! I had tried allsorts, and nothing had worked!

VideoPro
Its on a ice hockey shirt... Sports shirts are usually made of synthetic fibres -essentially plastic. Strong alcohol such as those found in hairsprays might do more damage than good.
medusa
Sticky stuff remover (that's really its name!) also removes permanent marker pen. It takes bio detergent to remove the sticky stuff remover afterwards, but that's not the major issue really, is it?
horribleblob
Soak the marks in clear vinegar for a couple of hours before putting the garment in the washing machine. It's worked for me, but to some extent depends on what type of fabric it is.
