Doom Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 I never have a problem getting a taxi these days. Once upon a time it was difficult, especially on certain key dates like the lead up to Christmas, Valentine's Day etc, but in the last 5 years I think I've only struggled once and that was at the end of Ramadan. I believe the Council issued a lot more taxi licences a few years ago which basically put an end to the days of having to queue for taxis. I usually wander up West Street and stick my arm out catching one coming back into town, it's very rare it takes me longer than 5 minutes to get one.
