shef sparky
Is there any eateries in Sheffield that are authentic Spanish. I heard that casa hotel in chezzer has a Spanish menu but not heard any reviews about it
Mayfield
Hi M8 hope you're keeping well. I keep going past El Toro at broomhill which is a tapas bar and keep meaning to try it. The only other place I can think of, off hand is La Tasca which is good but probably not authentic.

The owner was from Algeciras and kept a home both there and in Sheffield.

Jug Ears
Try La Mama on Abbeydale Road, about 100 yards up from East & West, on the other side of the road

verona
La Mama is good and so is the Mediterranean. Avoid La Tasca.

Mayfield
Verona - do you know something about La Tasca we should know? Lobster -never thought about it before but you’re probably right, as well as frozen/freeze dried, and will more than likely be the same for similar chain restaurants. Only been to La Tasca a few times for Tapas, certainly not authentic but most of the time good. Had a bad meal once and found the manager unhelpful until we asked for head offices details then she couldn't apologise enough, too late then but we didn't take it further just avoided it since then La Mama looks really good and we'll have to give it a try.
