It could be quite embarasing if you didn't understand their demands due to their poor English. I think that its stupid to import more criminals when we have plenty born here. Frank Sidney Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 To begin with, given that immigrants live overwhelmingly in some parts of the country and not in others, we need to know crimes rates for those different parts of the country. Otherwise the percentages tell us nothing. A few years ago when I last saw some actual figures, it transpired that in London, the percentage of black people in jail was lower than the percentage in the population at large; outside of London, the percentage in jail was lower than the percentage in the population; but when you put the two together, the percentage in jail was higher than the percentage in the population. I don't recall anyone arguing, from those percentages, that black people were less likely to commit crime in London, less likely to commit crime outside London, but more likely to commit crime overall. It was, in that case, abundantly clear to everyone that you cannot use the percentages to draw conclusions. Am I the only one who finds the first sentence confusing? I did, giving an example of a case where just knowing the percentage does not tell you anything useful. The same is true in the current case referring to foreigners. I wonder what the numbers look like in Barnsley. Could it be said the vast majority are white morons and they should be booted out of the country? Want to be an idiot?
