Britains motor racing team..

Never been an enthusiast but today I saw a dark geen car and thought that's the British racing cars colour !!!

OK. so was there a British racing car team, what sort of events did they take part in, and whats happened to it and the other national teams ?

"british racing green" as a colour has been used by many racing teams over the last century. BRM,lotus, bentley, MG, and many many more. there hasnt been an "official" british racing team as already pointed out though.

In that link, look at 'midnight green' and 'teal'...

 

aren't they actually blue? (or more blue than green)

They look it to me; I assume that Wikipedia is simply including every shade which is at least partly green, rather than just the ones which are mostly green. (I hadn't looked that far down the page to begin with...)
