We do wonder about this sometimes ourselves, we don't think they even make this little black and white cat he loves so much anymore - never considered that he might meet an untimely end in the washing machine though

 

BTW - he noted tonight that his freshly laundered cuddly toys 'don't smell nice anymore'

 

Ahhh yes, the smell. My daughter used to complain about the same thing. She'd narrow her little eyes at me and angrily tell me to ''leave my pillow 'lone, mommy!"

 

You can try washing his stuffed toys in a pillowcase (or lingerie bag if they'll fit) to help preserve them.
