hillc4 Posted September 7, 2011 Author Share Posted September 7, 2011 There is a death for a John Mottram Scaife 19 days old died 1906 and buried in Wadsley Church Cemetery - I think Agnes was a Mottram so it maybe her baby. Wadsley church maybe worth a look!! thats really interesting because my grandad was born the year after that so it could be linked to the family as there were a lot of infant deaths around then, and you are right she was a mottram. she died at the age of 49 years of age, my grandad was then only 15 years of age. If this is him in 1911 they lived on Carlsle st. at this time his parents had 6 children and had lost 11 children, his father William Henry was a steelworks labourer. Times were hard and a lot of graves were unmarked, but I would guess at City Rd or Burngreave from that area. I you pm me email address I will send you the 1911 census sheet. Hope this helps.
