Halibut
Just heard the news - a woman has survived having fallen overboard from a North Sea Ferry. Remarkable and extraordinary. Apparently the captain was able to turn the ship quickly and launch a rescue boat. Well done to all involved.
Runningman
She must have been a fit woman and very strong mentally, also obviously good at treading water for 20 mins. Those factors saved her, it wasn't just good luck and what a job those rescue lads did ! Surprising what some folks can summon up from the depths of their mind when the Grim Reaper beckons. She could make some brass from the press for her story, perhaps she deserves that !

I'd be very interested to learn how she and the ferry parted company in the first place though.
stupid head
According to the news she was "leaning out to light a cigarette" which makes no sense to me. Might have been a Berkerly, those buggers were loooong.

Without speculating too much, it is pretty much impossible to 'fall off' a ferry unless you mean to! John X
