A friend of mine worked for Mid-Suffolk Council Environmental Services and received a complaint from someone who had bought and renovated a farmhouse. He was outraged, following a ruined dinner party, where his guests were forced to leave the terrace and go back inside because there was a smell of pig muck from the working farm next door. He demanded that an enforcement notice be served to stop the smell and couldn't understand why my friend & her colleagues should think this funny.
