peakdistrict
The Monsale Dale Trail in Derbyshire has been instantly brought to life with evocative imagery & toe tapping music in a brand new mini film by the makers of the very best Peak District Videos around -. Peak District Online & Peak District TV. The launch is arguably one of their most evocative Peak District videos to date. On September 8th this latest video, in a long line of popular films made by the winning team, is already proving a hit with You Tube viewers. Made by the Peak District’s leading web portal http://www.peakdistrictonline.co.uk and their partners http://www.peakdistricttv.co.uk, the sounds and scenery of the beautiful Peak District Countryside are brought to life with stunning clarity thanks to a perfect partnership recently forged with the amazingly talented Terrybnd, an outdoors film- maker skilled in the practice of making really impressive imagery. The modest 34 year old is one of the very best outdoor film producers in the country. His passion for shooting gorgeously atmospheric videos of Derbyshire’s countryside scenes and pursuits are highlighted in this very impressive first collaboration. James Dobson one of Peak District Online’s team says ' We are very happy indeed to forge a fantastic relationship with Terry as its so very obvious that he leads the field in film producing for the national park, and his knowledge of the area and his ability to 'wild camp' under all conditions makes him a special person to film the peak district in a totally unique way” The video itself starts with the very brief history of Monsaldale, the black and white images of long ago times evoking a by gone era with succinct sentences from a wordsmith who’s clearly done his homework. The video then erupts into glorious colour, the music upping its tempo as the scenes of turbulent waterfalls and glorious foliage burst onto the screen. Monsaldale in Springtime is clearly a sight to behold and the atmospheric 4 ½ minute video highlights wonderfully the flora and fauna of the surrounding area – once a railway line? Surely not! Instead Terry evokes an easy going trail for young and old alike, on foot, by pushchair or by cycle the trail progresses as does the imagery, passing through beautiful villages and absolutely the most gorgeous scenery. Stylised images transform from photography to drawings to ensure this video keeps up the pace, the pen and ink style shifts the gears as the music upholds its rhythm. Man made structures blend into the countryside so well but safety first is always evident with the fencing and supports to prevent wobbles off your bike! The recent opening of the tunnels caused quite a stir and this video proves they are not the dark scary places they once were. Lit all the way through, it’s safe passage to bring the children out of hiding and the infirm to walk freely. Viewpoints from foot and on his bike, Terry takes you from Buxton to Bakewell – have a go yourself if the mood takes you. Grab a cuppa, put your feet up and let Peak District TV and Peak District Online let you discover the Peak District yourself, once again, in their own imitable style ! whitehorses
This lovely film really promotes the peak district. Having left the area some years ago, I'm impressed to see the work that has gone into improving Monsal head, especially the tunnel !

ANGELFIRE1
It would be nice to see the line used for what it was designed for - the train. Regards Angel.
metalman
The video itself starts with the very brief history of Monsaldale, the black and white images of long ago times evoking a by gone era with succinct sentences from a wordsmith who’s clearly done his homework. Perhaps you should make him do it again then: he can't spell its correctly! Did enjoy the video though.
