old tup
Just been sitting on my tod having a quiet half hour nursing a hangover from Sat nights festivities when my mind drifted back to when I was a teenager back in the early 60s.I remember teatime when we all sat together listening to our old boy telling my ma about who had retired and things that had gone on at work. Then seemingly in no time at all we would be together again having a meal and father would say old so and had snuffed it ,the one he,d mentioned earlier, this happened quiet a few times his workmates didn,t seem to last long after retirement,so I,ll keep my fingers crossed as I,m coming up to my first year of being put out to grass! ANGELFIRE1
Aye, find summat to do, boredom is a killer. Like wise I knew a few who on reaching retirement, laid back did nowt - and passed on early. One within a week of his retirement. It's just not fair, is it. Regards Angel.
