Stvoider
Ryanair fly from liverpool to Bergamo which is not far from Milan. They put on coaches to Milan from Bergamo until quite late. I've done it twice.

Stvoider
Done the same. Its about an hours journey on the coach and not very expensive. Indeed. What I did was book everything in advance and got some pretty good deals. I booked the train ticket from Sheffield to Liverpool and got a return for £11. The bus service from Liverpool parkway which was a quid or so. The return flights were £68 and I think the bus from Bergamo to Milan was about 4 Euros. Frank Sidney
Linate is nearest my mate and he'll pick me up from the airport but bergamo would be okay as well. Thanks guys...Liverpool seems good..
Annie Bynnol
Orio al Serio(Bergamo)is furthest and the bus/coach takes at least 60 minutes. Linate Airport is nearest and has a bus/coach only and takes at least 30 minutes. There are different bus routes into Milan so has more choice of destinations in the city. It has also got more domestic connections. The main airport is Malpensa which has far better facilities. It is as far away as Bergamo but we use it because it has daily flights from Manchester and a traffic proof rail connection of about 40mins. Frank Sidney
I'm finding it difficult to get a direct flight, aren't there any?....
Frank Sidney
Coach is only 120 return, ok it takes 15 hours but the plane takes an age with having to change, get to the airport, check in two hours before etc... I'm going to try it, it'll be an adventure, and the adventure starts at Pond Street which is an easy start...albeit at 1.30am....

salsafan
Don't be lazy and use the onestopshop sites like http://www.scanner.net. It has a map which you can click on Milan, and see all the other existing airports that can fly to it. Then you can see whether London Stansted or East Midland goes there! Then finding the flights are easy then as you click on it to fill in the dates blah blah. The Map: http://www.skyscanner.net/cheap-flights-map List of UK to Milan flight connections and which airline does it. http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/mila/uk/cheapest-flights-from-milan-to-united-kingdom.html
