What defines someone being Wrong or right on public forums?

The usual Chomskian filter dictates truth and lies saint and sinner.

Those that own the Forum have their own interests and alliances, those posters that serve or reinforce those interests prosper they don't get banned and more of the same ilk are encouraged to post thereby forming a majority or at least a consensus.

The rest become fair game truth and virtue will rest with the majority that inevitably evolves.

You're not paranoid much, are you?:loopy:

Posing a question on any public forum, the replies

you will get will be a mixture of

truths

half-truths

lies

biased opinions.

It is up to the original poster to decide what infomation

to accept or reject.

For example you may post the question

How do you rate 'Internet-R-Us' as an Internet service provider?

Before you read the replies you know that someone will post

absolutely rubbish worsed ISP I have every used

and someone else will post

wonderful ISP best move I ever made joining them.

and others will have an axe to grind for some obscure reason

you on the other hand are wide asleep:hihi:

I doubt that. I have been banned a fair few times, though I don't then formulate mad hypotheses about factions within the admin/mod team to try and mask the fact that I broke some rule or other.
