Eastern Mediterranean is a bit of a tinderbox right now

Recommended Posts

Egypt loosely controlled by the army and state of emergency declared. Turkey threatening Cyprus over oil exploration. Syria in turmoil. Israel facing rapidly deteriorating relations with Turkey and Egypt. Could all go pet tong pretty quickly if everyone doesn't calm down.

Can only be a good thing. I mean, who wants to be associated with a terrorist regime masquerading as a democracy ?

I thought they'd actually been under a state of emergency for 30 years or so which was lifted after the 'revolution'? I might be confusing one of the other countries.
