TheBlueDragon
Hi people. I wonder if anyone can help. The garage on our back garden looks very very ugly so I Plan on getting it tidied up and painted. The problem is that the outside has lots of little stones stuck all over. It's a really ugly rough texture. I would it all the outside to be smoothed off then painted White but I have no idea what material I should use. I'm guessing plaster is no good for outside and some others will just crumble off. So what should we use to put over the stony outside to make it all nice and smooth? carosio
I think it's called "roughcast rendering" and it's a devil to paint. Not sure whether it can be overlaid with another finish, it might have to be chiselled back to the brick/blockwork, then re-rendered in a smooth finish. Might have been better posting on the property section.
