Jeffrey Shaw
Both Gloria Hunniford and Venessa Redgrave are supporters of these travellers (what a contridiction, they are stayers), they might have some space at their respective homes that they can offer them. Or maybe at several of their respective houses.

Conrod
I've never understood how the left can support a community like the travllers that is so closed and not open to integration and tolerance of outsiders Extreme left-wingers are often so resistant to state authority from 'fascists' like the Police, judiciary and Parliament that they let their sympathies stray towards anarchy. As a result they tend to offer their support blindly and unwittingly to the lawless and the anti-establishment types who they see as the underdog needing their support. Well intentioned? Probably. Pathetic? Certainly.

Pathetic? Certainly. well I'm not a propnent of anarchy but I am a propantent of being able to live your life with as little inererence from the state as possible whilst supporting left wing values. I personally think the left lost a lot of its crediblitly fighting for fightings sake rather than fighting for left wing values, IE suporting extremist beliefs undfder the guise of 'it's not our culture who are we to interfere'. when that culture is anti women and anti homosexual it surely is a left thinking persons duty to go against that? do what you do so long as it harms no one. - that goes across extreme libertarian conservative views and liberal views. but that's just me
MrSmith
Do these travellers have the right to stay, If they can fill in income tax and vat forms for the last 20 years, and they conform to our way of life. That of paying rent, council tax, water rates and income tax and open their sites to regular inspection. Even then the answer is No ! I would think they have a right to stay, but they have no right to build under planning laws, personally I would rather they stay where they are, breaking the law on their land than move and break the law on someone else’s land.
