MCCCSYorks
Marie Curie Cancer Care is calling all secondary schools in South Yorkshire to sign up to the Daffodil Schools Challenge by October 7th. The Daffodil Schools Challenge tasks pupils aged 11-16 with planning and creating a visual display based on the charity’s daffodil emblem either at school or elsewhere in the community. Pupils are also tasked to come up with ideas of ways to fundraise for Marie Curie Cancer Care and at the end of the academic year each school is awarded for its efforts. When teachers register for the activity they receive a pack containing lesson plans for Key Stage 3 and 4 or equivalent in subjects such as citizenship, personal, social, health and economic education and English as well as activity sheets.
