buck Posted September 28, 2011 Share Posted September 28, 2011 Indeed, on a good day this is the best time of year Clear blue sky, warm but not overley hot sun, trees looking spectacular as their leaves turn from green to yellow, red, orange etc. Crisp air which bites your nipples as you walk down the street and doesn't smell like it's been recycled through millions of ruminants You could be describing New England as well as Old England. This is by far the best season of the year, only burdened by what we know is coming. It's full here of Autumn fairs in small towns, the foliage tours, Thanksgiving, Halloween, college football. walkertelecoms Posted September 28, 2011 Share Posted September 28, 2011 In 3 weeks time, 12 months ago, my daughter and myself were swimming in the sea at Cleethorpes. The sea is 3 months behind temp wise, so like the canaries in summer time. In fact compared the the canary islands over Xmas (where we spend every Xmas and new year) there the sea feels like it was brewed in a flippin freezer :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
