Green Web
Before the riots broke out many boundaries and tensions had broken between white and black communities, many young white people were aspiring to be gangstar black, and would often purposely befriend Jamaicans and creep around black people to acquire the ultimate ganstar black mannerisms, often becoming more gangstar black than the Yardies themselves. Now all we hear is praise for the Asians in our inner cities for not rioting and protecting business, but all the anger and hatred is now aimed purely at Afro-Carribeans, and racism is quicklly reverting back to like it was in the 80's, I was on building site the other day and when the Polish heard a loud alarm going off, all the builders shouted '**** are out' and with vile racist videos like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lY6EhBzUfSQ becoming the accepted mainstream something has to be done to address these problems, instead of us all just focusing on tackling the Muslim propaganda. Mister M
I don't think all we do hear is praise for the Asians in the inner cities for not rioting. Rightly there was praise for the dignified response of the Asian father, Tariq Jahan who lost his son in the riots.
Leah-Lacie
Any racism I've heard relating to the riots is not about the 'black' communities, they all seem to rant on about the 'immigrants' who come here to scrounge and then riot and loot. GrapeApe
I dont think the riots would make any difference. The rioters were black and white. Very different from the 80s riots.
shims
Racists try to latch onto circumstances as a justification for their illogical views; normal people don't, so these incidents, participated in by a significant number of non-whites are likely to have encouraged those who are already racist to be more vocal; possibly in the misapprehension that fair-minded, intelligent folk will agree with them. Big time
If anyone states the blindingly obvious - that the the rioters were disproportionately black, you become a pariah, even though everyone knows its true.
