Have the riots made people more racist?

Recommended Posts

If anyone states the blindingly obvious - that the the rioters were disproportionately black, you become a pariah, even though everyone knows its true.

It simply wasn't true.

In the areas with predominantly white popualtions, the rioters were more or less all white. some people just didn't want to see that

But in the 2 biggest cities London and Birmingham affected by the riots they were predominantly black youths, with an estimated 50% white and 50% black in Manchester and Salford, but that is irrelevant, as it was mostly a growing ignored underclass issue.

What does matter is the growing racism and how other racists in other races have surfaced and are now treating black people like most uneducated folk did here in the 80's.

Racism isn't confined to the uneducated, they are just less subtle than the well heeled in showing their bigotry.

I dont think the riots would make any difference. The rioters were black and white. Very different from the 80s riots.

The way i saw it it was more like 80% black and asian scum with the remaining 20% being made up of white scum.

Not that it really matters.

White, black, asian,, they are all scum for what they did.

What is worrying is that 1700 of those rioters arrested already had 16000 previous convictions or cautions between them, so now possibly 17700.

Black or white doesn't come in to it unless a dissproportianate of those 1700 came from one particular group Black or white.

Before the riots broke out many boundaries and tensions had broken between white and black communities, many young white people were aspiring to be gangstar black, and would often purposely befriend Jamaicans and creep around black people to acquire the ultimate ganstar black mannerisms, often becoming more gangstar black than the Yardies themselves.

Now all we hear is praise for the Asians in our inner cities for not rioting and protecting business, but all the anger and hatred is now aimed purely at Afro-Carribeans, and racism is quicklly reverting back to like it was in the 80's, I was on building site the other day and when the Polish heard a loud alarm going off, all the builders shouted '**** are out' and with vile racist videos like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lY6EhBzUfSQ

becoming the accepted mainstream something has to be done to address these problems, instead of us all just focusing on tackling the Muslim propaganda.

That video's pretty bang on.
