HeadingNorth
The odds against it hitting anywhere that is heavily populated are over a thousand to one against. Even if it were to land in Sheffield, most parts of Sheffield are unoccupied at any given time. If it ploughs through the roof and lands in your kitchen, and you are in your living room, you will be unharmed.

Resident
NASA have stated that if anyone finds parts of the satellite they are to return it to them as it's theirs & not sell it. Sod that. They abandoned the satellite 6 years ago. Salvage rights apply. i.e. you find it, it's yours.

Salvage rights do not apply; and the USA can have you extradited on a theft charge without even needing to provide any evidence. If you keep a piece of it and NASA know you have it, you're going to go to jail.
VideoPro
NASA also says on the website not to even touch it if you do find something, in case you get the Space Lurgy off it.

If they mentioned how much human excrement has been jettisoned into low-earth orbit in the last fifty years, and how much of it has ended up coating satellites in a thin film, I don't think anyone would dare touch it.
