stevecrofts
Hi Bit of a long shot this but here goes. I was born in Sheffield in 1949. I am appealing for any info about the house we used to live in. The family home was Park Grange Cottage,Park Grange Road,Sheffield. I left in 1956 and have never been back,I am having a few days holiday in Sheffield in October and thought I might try to find out if the house still stands. My recollections are of a 2 storey house but I think we just had the bottom flat,I remember it seemed to be up a country lane beside a farm. Not much I know and it was a long time ago but you never know. regards Steve

stevecrofts
Hi Crookesey That sounds about right.I have an old Sheffield map from the 40/50s and Park Grange Rd only went as far as that then.I have seen this entrance on Google Maps but can,t go up the lane on the net. i will have to walk up the lane and have a look. me-and-pippo
Could have been Park Grange House , The Beeches, or part of Park Grange Farm. None of which still exist.
stevecrofts
me-and-pippo thanks for the pictures, the Park Grange House looks to grand the Beeches is a possibility but don,t remember this view. It looks like the kind of place that might have been turned into flats after the war.

Steve That is the gate house to Norfolk Lodge, not been up there as public access is restricted, but I think the old house no longer exists.
