LDeville
Hi you would be correct in assuming that this thread was similar to the ones that were intitated a few days ago about "snow and storms" in the UK in October. however, the latest is that we in England is to get temps of 27C next week. Like most, we take the weather forecasters predictions with a pinch of salt. The forcators may be able to predict 80% accurately waether for 48 hrs in advance but anyhting more than that is pure guess wotk in our respected opinion. medusa
27C is warmer than I'd like it to be, but I don't see how that can be 'adverse'.
LDeville
27C is warmer than I'd like it to be, but I don't see how that can be 'adverse'. Hi usual temps are 18c and this is 11C higher, hence adverse weather. thanks
LeMaquis
Hi usual temps are 18c and this is 11C higher, hence adverse weather. thanks The online dictionary defines adverse as; 1.unfavorable or antagonistic in purpose or effect: adverse criticism. 2.opposing one's interests or desire: adverse circumstances. 3.being or acting in a contrary direction; opposed or opposing: adverse winds. 4.opposite; confronting: the adverse page. So I won't find 27 adverse.
