Probably because he speaks the Queen's English without saying 'you know' at the end of every sentence, unlike Tony Blair. With GB being Scottish, Rich can't work out if he's speaking posh or not, I couldn't work out if he was human.

cameron seems a decent enough chap. Anyone who is devoted to a severely disabled son or daughter is a hero.

his politics are haywire though.

And then his beloved dad died, his politics are fine in a world where the wonderful Euro economy is about to implode. Judge him at the end of his tenure, not after just over a year.

Not really, it's not like the standard thing to do with a disabled child is not be devoted to them, he's just doing what pretty much any parent would do, and its not like he's a single dad working two jobs or anything, he can afford the very best care. It's admirable, but hardly heroic.

More people vote 'no' than are needed to win the election.

Effectively we are without a valid government :|

Apart from that's not the way our electoral system works. I hate the tories as much as the next guy but this whole 'our government isn't legitimate' thing doesn't really wash.

Is there a hidden Conservatism in Sheffield?

If there is a hidden Conservatism then now is the time to show itself, the scope for re-establishing a viable alternative for the city and to recoup the disenchanted floating vote is huge at present, can the local party not find anyone bright enough or charismatic enough to challenge and attack the present incumbents?,or indeed the wishy washy nah nah opposition whose only role in serving and assisting Sheffield seems to be waiting for things to go wrong and writing en masse to the Star to say "yah boo told you so".

If the local Tories are so strapped of talent at present that they can't put forward a reasonable local alternative then it's surely time to throw in their lot and join the Monster Raving Loonies.

Or do what one of Scottish Conservatives suggested they do up there, disband due to being a toxic brand.
