Stupid question and stupid poll. The OP asks if anyone would vote scum Tory in local AND national elections but the poll itself presents an either or choice, albeit with an option to vote for both for the serious masochist.

Will the last Tory in Yorkshire please do us all a favour and eff off down South.

There are quite a few of us - at least, in the nice parts of town ;)

Well I suppose I live in the 'nice parts of town' but I won't and never will, like most folk 'round here these days!:)
Perhaps like most folk across the Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire, but not like most folk in the nicer parts of town though. I guess it depends on what you define as a nice part of town :P

I really don't understand why people still buy into Labour politics.

Conservative ideology is small government, low taxes. I do not know anybody that rather wouldn't pay less tax and have less state interference in their lives.

Conservatives stand for ambition, I don't know anybody that wouldn't want to better their standard of living.

Conservatives are traditionally strong on law & order, I don't know anyone that doesn't want to see tougher sentancing for criminals.

Conservatives traditionaly want to be tough but fair on immigration, as do most people I know.

The Conservatives are far more representative of the working class than labourites would like to let on :)

All completely on the nail - but, you're wasting your time. Why? Because labour has convinced the thickies that politics is a great battle of "them 'n' us", and the northern unwashed have not only swallowed it but let themselves be blindly brainwashed by it.

Sad, really.

They put VAT up. Where are these low taxes you mentioned?

Ken Clarke wants to stop putting people in prison

The Tories are mostly ex Eton Public school boys.

So far from being a low tax, law and order, everyman party, in power they've done exactly the opposite.
